About DJ Mad Luuk
Hi, I’m Luuk — a Queens-based DJ, radio host, producer, and lifelong music lover.
As DJ Mad Luuk, I create genre-blending sets that move through house, disco, funk, hip hop, Latin grooves, classic cuts, queer dancefloor energy and whatever else feels right in the moment.
Whether I’m broadcasting The Melting Pot on Trans Radio UK, streaming live on Twitch, or building a visual themed mix on YouTube, my goal is simple: bring people together, keep the music moving, and make the room feel welcoming.
Getting Home
Music has always helped me find my way back to myself.
One of my earliest memories of true belonging was attending NYC Pride in 1998. What stayed with me wasn’t only the celebration — it was the sound of thousands of people moving together, singing together and feeling free.
That feeling still shapes the way I DJ. A good set can turn strangers into a room, a room into a community and a community into a force for social change.
Why I DJ
I DJ because music creates real-time connection faster than almost anything else I know.
As a trans man and a lifelong music obsessive, I care deeply about building spaces where people can relax, dance, laugh, feel seen and, above all, be themselves.
Inclusion matters to me, but I don’t believe a dance floor has to feel like a lecture. It can be joyful, silly, sweaty, surprising, healing, and fun — sometimes all in the same transition.
